Course Summary
In this course I aim to give new puppy parents, or people preparing for a puppy, the knowledge and understanding they need to get it right from day one. In it you will learn the secrets that I wished had been shared with me before I got my puppy ten years ago! I made tonnes of mistakes and if I only knew then what I know now I'd have done things so very differently. I've put together this crash course in puppy parenting, so that you can avoid making the same mistakes that I did. The information is evidence based, easy to follow and straightforward, and will provide step-by-step guidance to help you navigate the first few months of puppy parenting so that you can help set your puppy up for life.

Hello! I'm Karen Bunston and I'm the owner of Blue Dog Canine Services, a multi award winning dog training business. At Blue Dog we promote "happy puppy and dog training", and we help owners with their everyday puppy and dog challenges by using evidence-based, force free training alongside enrichment and other activities that offer appropriate and fulfilling mental stimulation.
Blue Dog was established in 2015 with the aim of making puppy and dog training straightforward, effective and fun for both the dog and their hooman. Blue Dog is named after my Kerry Blue Terriers Bo and Missy, and with Phil, my husband, lending a hand it's a real family business. I'm a qualified dog trainer and behaviour advisor, a Scentwork UK trainer and an assessed full member of the IMDT and PPG. I was previously mentored by world renowned dog trainer Steve Mann and have trained with Julie Naismith the author of the best selling separation anxiety book 'Be Right Back'. I have personally helped hundreds and hundreds of puppy and dog owners train their puppies and dogs using force free methods that work, and now I want to help you too!
